If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Hey, I want to fight Tom Cruise in a UFC-style showdown” (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?), then you and Justin Bieber have that in common.

That’s right: For a yet-to-be-explained reason, the pop star, 25, took to Twitter on Sunday night to challenge the action-movie star, 56, to a fight. And the internet’s collective response was: “Why, though?”

“I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down,” the Beebs tweeted.

Actress Jane Lynch very correctly pointed out that Bieber improperly used “your” instead of “you’re” in his proposal. “Riverdale” star Cole Sprouse also took to correcting Bieber’s poor grammar.

And while no sane person is taking this proposal seriously, there seems to be some interest from the fighting world. UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes tweeted a shocked face. UFC Canada’s Twitter account also tweeted out interested googly eyes.

If the fight does take place, former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya’s agency, Golden Boy Boxing, would gladly promote it.

MMA champion and professional troublemaker Conor McGregor upped the ante by tweeting that his agency/company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, would host the fight if Cruise is “man enough to accept [Bieber’s] challenge.” McGregor then challenged actor Mark Wahlberg to the exact same fight.

But celebrities aren’t the only ones getting in on the fun and ridiculousness of this prospective throwdown. The online betting site Odds Shark aggregated the opening odds for the bout at Bieber -200 and Cruise +150.

While the odds seem to be in Bieber’s favor, people on Twitter overwhelmingly believe that Cruise would come out of the fight victorious.

Neither Cruise nor UFC Commissioner Dana White have yet to respond to Bieber’s proposal.

Gloves are in your ring now, Tom.
