How to get Facebook’s Graph Search feature

Facebook is entering the search business, announcing Tuesday a feature called Graph Search, but you’ll have to get in line if you want to be among the first to try out the new tool.

Graph Search lets users search their social network for items that have been shared with them. By typing into the top blue bar on Facebook’s website, members will be able to use Graph Search to find information related to people, photos, places and areas of interests.

An example of things you could search for include “Photos of my friends in New York,” “Sushi restaurants in Palo Alto my friends have liked” and “Tourist attractions in Italy visited by my friends.”

So when does this feature come out and how can you get it? Facebook said Graph Search will roll out slowly and only be available in English.

Graph Search is available starting today in a limited beta, so if you want to get the feature you’ll have to go to the Graph Search page and sign up for the feature’s waiting list. You can do that by going to the page and scrolling down to the bottom.
