The Rose Bowl is upping its game as the new season approaches, unveiling one of the stadium’s original locker room spaces. Reborn as a mini-museum, the locker room will be open to public tours and is a key early step in the buildup to the stadium’s centennial celebration in 2022.

Tucked under the stands, think of it as the ultimate fan cave.

The new attraction matches vintage photos and keepsakes with a timeline of big events held at the stadium, including Super Bowls, national championships and concerts by some of the biggest names in music.

Parts of the room collapsed during the renovation, requiring additional digging that unearthed a wagon wheel, Coke bottle and license plates from the era, all of which made their way into the exhibit.

The 1922 locker room revival was made possible through the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, the fundraising arm of the stadium. Key benefactors included Mickey and Lee Segal and Community Bank.

The Rowl Bowl itself is one of several landmark stadiums in L.A.
