The Doctor is in! Peter Capaldi is officially set to appear in the first episode of the upcoming “Doctor Who” spinoff series “Class.”

The news of the Twelfth Doctor’s involvement with “Class” was revealed during a live-streamed interview featuring the show’s cast (as well as producer Derek Ritchie).

Set at the familiar Coal Hill School in contemporary London, “Class” will follow four students (played by Vivian Oparah, Greg Austin, Sophie Hopkins and Fady Elsayed) as they juggle standard teenage life issues such as navigating friendships, parents, schoolwork, sex and sorrow along with the possibility of the end of existence. No big deal, right?

In addition to Capaldi’s appearance, the interview also finally revealed the names of the main characters of the series. The students are Charlie (Austin), April (Hopkins), Ram (Elsayed) and Tanya (Oparah), and their physics teacher is Miss Quill (played by Katherine Kelly).

While “Class” creator and writer Patrick Ness has previously shared that the series will feature a gay lead character, not much else was known about the show’s cast of characters.

Fans are now also privy to the title of the first two “Class” episodes: “For Tonight We Might Die” and “The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo.”

While “Class” will have its British premiere on Oct. 22, BBC America has revealed that the series will debut stateside alongside the next season of “Doctor Who” in spring 2017.

Fans eager to catch a glimpse of the show are in luck as BBC America has also announced that they will be bringing “Class,” “Doctor Who” and “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” to New York Comic Con with panels on Oct. 7.

The “Class” presentation will feature a sneak peek of the show plus a panel consisting of stars Austin, Elsayed, Hopkins and Oparah along with creator and executive producer Ness and executive producer Brian Minchin.

Capaldi will also be making his NYCC debut at the “Doctor Who” panel, which marks the first appearance of new “Doctor Who” companion, Pearl Mackie. The panel will also feature Matt Lucas, Steven Moffat and Minchin.
