Peter Koral, founder of 7 For All Mankind premium denim company, is opening a Blaze Pizza in South Gate today. To celebrate, the restaurant will offer free build-your-own pizzas on Friday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. For a free pizza, just follow Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. If the line gets too long, the restaurant promises to hand out pizza passes good for a free pie at a later date. 4809 Firestone Blvd., South Gate, www.blazepizza.com/.

Haché LA, a new steak haché sandwich shop by Michael “Mick” Schepers will open in Silver Lake on Thursday. Schepers is doing classic French steak haché, which means he’s mincing 100% USDA Angus Sirloin steak and forming it into a patty before seasoning. Schepers’ most famous sandwich, served at his Karma Burger in Irvine, is a version of the classic American cheeseburger made with steak haché, American cheese, house sauce, lettuce, tomato and red onion on a bun. The restaurant is having a soft opening party Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. 3319 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, (323) 928-2963.

Crossroads, the vegan restaurant by chef and owner Tal Ronnen, has launched Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu will move away from the restaurant’s classic Mediterranean style to offer classic brunch dishes, including a take on Benedict with shitake bacon, kale and herb chickpea panisse, an eggless frittata, French toast, pancakes and waffles. Croissants will also be available. And for dessert, executive pastry chef Serafina Magnussen has a selection of sweets, including a fig almond upside-down cake. Cocktails and non-alcoholic drink options are also available. 8284 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, (323) 782-9245, www.CrossroadsKitchen.com.
