With Mike D’Antoni resigning last week, the Lakers are in search of a new head coach.

Gambling website Bovada has Byron Scott and the University of Connecticut’s Kevin Ollie as favorites, both with 7-2 odds of taking the Lakers’ job.

Also on Bovada’s list are Tom Thibodeau of the Chicago Bulls (4-1), John Calipari of the University of Kentucky (4-1), Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher (15-2), Jeff Van Gundy (8-1), George Karl (10-1), Lakers’ assistant Kurt Rambis (10-1), Lionel Hollins (12-1) and Mike Dunleavy Sr. (12-1).

D’Antoni had a difficult season, trying to guide an injured Lakers’ squad through a very competitive Western Conference.

It’s unclear who will replace him, but the Lakers should have be in better health next season -- it would be a challenge to match this past year’s carnage.

The not-so-merry-go-round included 38 different starting lineups after players missed a combined 319 games due to injuries.

The Lakers (27-55) finished the season with their worst record since moving to Los Angeles in 1961.
