Frank Underwood is back and more cantankerous than ever.

It’s an election year on “House of Cards” and tensions are as high in the pulpy political thriller’s universe as they are in the real world.

Though the official trailer has little in the way of dialogue and lots in the way of sex and violence, it’s clear that things are not going particularly well within the confines of the Underwood marriage. Frank (Kevin Spacey) is angry and Claire (Robin Wright) is taking the brunt of his wrath.

But new faces abound in the upcoming season of the Beau Willimon-created series, with Joel Kinnaman, best known for “The Killing” and soon to be featured in upcoming superhero film “Suicide Squad,” and Neve Campbell (“Party of Five,” “Scream”) joining the cast in yet-to-be announced roles.

Kinnaman and Campbell join an already stacked cast, including Spacey and Wright, as well as Michael Kelly, Mahershala Ali, Jayne Atkinson, Derek Cecil, Nathan Darrow, Kim Dickens, Elizabeth Marvel, Dominique McElligott, Molly Parker, Paul Sparks, Ellen Burstyn and Cicely Tyson.
