Current, former MLB players react to the A-Rod, Biogenesis suspensions
Alex Rodriguez was suspended for 211 games through the 2014 MLB season, and 12 others, including Texas Rangers OF Nelson Cruz and Detroit Tigers SS Jhonny Peralta, were suspended 50 games for their involvement with Biogenesis.
Current and former players from around Major League Baseball took to Twitter to react to the news:
I applaud Bud Selig, MLB owners and the MLBPA for their support for the suspensions to those players involved in the PED investigation

Tough day for the @MLB family today with all suspensions. But I think it's another step in the right direction. U cheat & U will get caught.

Let's all finally say it "A-Rod is a victim"

PLEASE STOP PRAISING #BUD

If guilty players truly cared about the fans' & their teammates' feelings, they would have NEVER done it. Just say "I'm sorry I got caught."
— Brad Ziegler (@BradZiegler) August 5, 2013
We, as players, are tired of talking about PEDs. I personally have little sympathy for those that act selfishly and scar the game we love.
— Brad Ziegler (@BradZiegler) August 5, 2013
Message to other players considering PEDs to get an edge: You WILL be caught. Your reputation WILL be ruined. Don't do it!

Is the juice worth the squeeze? Hahaha #literally

MLBs consequences for ped's reminds me of when my mom used to put tabasco sauce in my mouth for saying bad words #checktheirbankaccounts

Hey Antonio Bastardo, remember when we competed for a job in 2011. Thx alot. #ahole

Never said I was good enough but what about the players that never got their chance? Their lives could have been completely different.

Potential bigger issue if I'm following right: 13 suspensions, 0 positive tests. Non-Biogenesis clients using same PED skating right now.

Say it ain't so Joe. Say it ain't so. Most suspended since Black Sox scandal
